One of the most recent arrivals on the NASCAR schedule, Kansas Speedway is a beautiful tri-oval track in Kansas City, Kansas. Home of the Kansas 400 on Oct. 4, it is popular among drivers because it is one of the easiest tracks on which to pass.

Jeff Gordon is the only driver to have won twice.

It's the third race of the Chase for the Cup, so frontrunners have emerged by this time and those who have fallen behind come to Kansas looking to catch up. Naturally it is a flat track, or at least much flatter than its sister track, Chicagoland.

In three of the five years of the Chase, non-Chase drivers have won at Kansas Speedway.
